Mumbai Glitters as the 61st Femina Miss India Awards Night Celebrates Beauty, Talent, and Legacy

Mumbai came alive with glamour, elegance, and celebration as the 61st Femina Miss India Awards Night took place on April 9, 2026. Organized by the prestigious Femina Miss India pageant under the Times Group, the event marked an important milestone in its six-decade journey of empowering young Indian women and shaping their paths across diverse industries.

This year’s theme, “Connecting the DOTS” — Daughters of This Soil — beautifully showcased India’s unity in diversity. The journey began with a nationwide talent search, leading to the selection of 30 state winners who are now undergoing intensive grooming in Mumbai under leading industry experts. The awards night stood as a grand tribute to their growth, commitment, and individuality.

The evening commenced with an impressive ramp walk by the contestants, who dazzled in intricately designed outfits by Anmol Singh of Banjara Trail. Featuring detailed patchwork and handcrafted beadwork, each ensemble offered a modern take on traditional Indian textiles. Directed by Sandeep Dharma and hosted by Pooja Bhamrrah, the event effortlessly combined fashion with storytelling.

The star-studded evening was attended by notable personalities such as Anu Malik, Celina Jaitly, Madhur Bhandarkar, Vindu Dara Singh, Terence Lewis, Nehal Chudasama, and Pooja Chopra. Their presence elevated the event’s prestige as they presented awards to winners across various sub-categories.

Several contestants received prestigious titles, recognizing their intelligence, personality, style, and confidence. Winners were also honoured with rewards and accolades from partners like KIIT Bhubaneswar and Rajnigandha Pearls, further highlighting the pageant’s focus on excellence and empowerment.

The entertainment segment added to the excitement, with energetic performances by Sukriti and Prakriti Kakar, along with electrifying DJ sets by TECHTRONIX and BENJ, keeping the audience thoroughly engaged.

As the competition heads toward its grand finale on April 18, 2026, at KIIT Bhubaneswar, anticipation continues to rise. The winner will represent India on the global stage at Miss World, carrying forward the legacy of former titleholders like Aishwarya Rai, Priyanka Chopra, and Manushi Chhillar.

With elegance, ambition, and purpose at its heart, the 61st Femina Miss India continues to inspire a new generation of confident and empowered women.
