<p>Manisha Koirala is getting ready for her much-awaited part in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, an upcoming historical drama series. After a remarkable 25-year break, she is working with renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali again on this project. Manisha recently posted a mesmerizing picture of herself with her co-stars from the show, Richa Chadha, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal. The actors in the photo are all quite elegant, wearing clothes that Rimple and Harpreet Narula fashioned with intricate embroidery.</p>

<p>A teaser for the series was released by Manisha on February 18, offering fans a tantalizing look into the fascinating realm of Heeramandi. Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sonakshi Sinha are the first people to appear in the teaser, all of whom are wearing yellow outfits. A caption that said, “Sneak peek into Heeramandi, a place where courtesans were queens,” was attached to the photo.</p>
<p>Manisha spoke during the Next on Netflix India event about how much she appreciated the project’s quality. “It can’t get better than Heeramandi to be working with Sanjay 25 years after his first film, Khamoshi,” she said. I’ve seen him grow as a genius, a maestro, and an artist, and it’s been an amazing trip. He is the finest and best filmmaker in India.</p>
<p>In Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, viewers are taken to an opulent and mysterious realm where stories of love and treachery are woven into the lives of courtesans in pre-independence India.</p>
<p>In the forthcoming eight-part historical drama series, Manisha plays Mallikajaan. She previously worked with Sanjay Leela Bhansali on his directorial debut, Khamoshi: The Musical (1996).</p>
<p>In addition to Heeramandi, Manisha will feature in Emergency, the forthcoming biographical drama film starring Kangana Ranaut. This film explores actual 1975 events that happened under the leadership of one of India’s most famous historical figures, Indira Gandhi. Anupam Kher and Kangana Ranaut both play important parts in the movie.</p>
