Chiranjeevi thanks PM Modi and says he is “speechless” after receiving the Padma Vibhushan award

<p>Retired actor Chiranjeevi was one of the 132 recipients of Padma awards, as the government said on Thursday, Republic Day. The Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest civilian honor given for extraordinary and outstanding service, has been bestowed to him. The actor thanked his supporters and admirers in a video message he released hours after the major news.</p>

<p>After learning of the accolade, Chiranjeevi stated he was “speechless” and expressed his gratitude and overwhelming feelings. “It is just the audience’s, my friends’, and my biological siblings’ and sisters’ unwavering affection. I owe you this life and this very moment. Even though I know I can never show my thanks sufficiently, I have always tried to do the best I can,” he stated.</p>
<p>The megastar said, “Off screen, I try to help the needy by taking up relevant social and humanitarian causes from time to time. On screen, in the last 45 years of my film career, I have tried to entertain you to the best of my abilities.” Even though I haven’t done anything, you have honored and recognized me much. I will always be grateful for your affection and assistance.</p>
<p>“At this moment of pride, I would like to thank the government of India and our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji for bestowing on me Padma Vibhushan,” Chiranjeevi said in closing. I’m grateful. Salutations, Jai Hind.</p>
<p>with 1978, Chiranjeevi made his feature film debut with Punadhirallu. But in 1997, he made his big breakthrough with Sindhooram. Throughout his more than forty-year career, Chiranjeevi has contributed to more than one hundred feature films in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and other languages. Rudra Veena, Indra, Tagore, Swayam Krushi, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy, Stalin, and Gang Leader are a few of his well-known motion pictures.</p>
<p>In addition to Chiranjeevi, Vyjayanthimala will get the Padma Vibhushan award. Having acted in several films from the 1950s and 1960s, such as Devdas, Naya Daur, Aasha, Sadhna, Gunga Jumna, Sangam, and Jewel Thief, she is considered one of the best performers in Indian cinema.</p>
